The detection dog training is divided into 4 modules.
Each module is completed by a practical and a theoretical examination. In order to take the next module, the exam must be
passed*.
Module 1 (duration 1 week.)
Basic training
The basic training is carried out during the intensive week.
Morning: Three theory blocksAfternoon: Three practical blocks including basic conditioning on the search substances. Exam*.
Module 2 (duration 3 mths)
Basic training in detection (alerting behavior) 1st aid for dogs. "1st aid course" is led by a veterinarian. 10 practical tasks and 4
theory lessons. Exam*.
Module 2 (duration 3 mths)
Basic training in tracking (alert behavior) 1st aid for dogs. "1st aid course" is led by a veterinarian. 10 practical tasks and 4
theory lessons. Exam*.
Module 3 (duration 3 mt.)
Searching for explosives and training in handling explosives. The "Handling explosives" course is led by an explosives expert.
10 practical tasks and 8 theory lessons. Exam*.
Module 4 (duration 4 mt.)
Explosives search and tactical work. The "tactical work" course is led by an expert. Final examination* by a recognized expert.
*Each examination can be taken twice. The 2nd exam is subject to a fee. In order to take the next module, it is essential to
pass the previous module. Special training courses are held for institutions such as the army, police or customs, and fully
trained dogs can be adopted; please ask about our special conditions.

The training courses will only be held if there are sufficient participants. SK-9 GmbH reserves the right to postpone or
combine training courses with too few participants or to cancel them and refund the training costs.
Basic requirements for training as a sniffer dog handler:
Negative criminal record
Impeccable character reference
Ability to work in a team
Willingness to work with your own dog at any time of the day and every day of the week.
Requirements for the dog
Basic requirement for the training of sniffer dogs:
High general fitness and good health.
Above-average play and prey behavior.
Unbiased and conflict-free social behavior - even in stressful situations.
Particularly resilient to environmental influences (extreme weather conditions, strong noise, dust and odor nuisance,
noises).

For these reasons, only dogs that have passed the aptitude test with "very good" are admitted to sniffer dog training.

Sprengstoffsuche und Ausbildung im Umgang mit Sprengstoff. Kurs "Umgang mit Sprengstoff" wird durch einen Sprengstoffexperten geführt. 10 praktische Arbeiten, sowie 8 Theorielektionen. Prüfung*.Modul 4 (Dauer 4 Mt.)
Sprengstoffsuche und taktische Arbeiten. Kurs "taktische Arbeiten" wird durch einen Experten geführt. Abschlussprüfung* durch einen anerkannten Experten. *Jede Prüfung kann zweimal absolviert werden. Die 2. Prüfung ist kostenpflichtig. Um das nächste Modul zu absolvieren, ist das Bestehen des vorgängigen Moduls ausschlaggebend. Für Institutionen wie Armee, Polizei oder Zoll finden spezielle Ausbildungslehrgänge statt.Fertig ausgebildete Hunde können übernommen werden.Fragen Sie nach unseren speziellen Bedingungen. Die Ausbildungen werden ausschliesslich mit genügend Teilnehmer/innen durchgeführt. Die SK-9 GmbH behält sich vor, Ausbildungslehrgänge mit zu kleiner Teilnehmerzahl zeitlich zu verschieben, zusammenzulegen oder unter Rückzahlung der Ausbildungskosten zu annullieren.Anforderungen an den

Grundvoraussetzungen für die Ausbildung zum Spürhundeführer: Negativer Strafregisterauszug Einwandfreies Leumundzeugnis Teamfähigkeit Bereitschaft zu jeder Tageszeit sowie an jedem Tag der Woche mit seinem eigenen Hund zu arbeiten.Anforderungen an den Hund
Grundvoraussetzung für die Ausbildung von Spürhunden: Hohe allgemeine Fitness und gute Gesundheit. Überdurchschnittliches Spiel- und Beuteverhalten. Unbefangenes und konfliktfreies Sozial- verhalten – auch in Stresssituationen. Besonders belastbar gegenüber Umwelteinflüssen (extreme Witterungseinflüsse, starker Lärm, Staub- und Geruchsbelästigungen, Geräusche, Bewegungen) Bewegungssicherheit auf verschiedenen Untergründen in Gebäuden (Fliesen, Treppen, Gitterroste) Aus diesen Gründen werden nur Hunde zu der Spürhundeausbildung zugelassen, die den Eignungstest mit "sehr gut " bestanden haben.Eignungstest
